Alloy 600 Pipe

Alloy 600 pipe is a nickel-chromium-iron-based solid solution strengthened alloy with excellent high-temperature corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, as well as superior hot and cold working and welding process properties. It exhibits satisfactory thermal strength and high ductility at temperatures below 700°C. The alloy can be strengthened through cold working and can be joined using resistance welding, fusion welding, or brazing. ZIZI supplies cold-rolled sheets, hot-rolled plates, strips, wires, bars, discs, rings, and ring forgings, suitable for manufacturing oxidation-resistant components subjected to low loads at temperatures below 1100°C. This alloy is primarily used in high-temperature corrosion environments such as nuclear reactors, aerospace engine components, petrochemical equipment, and heat treatment furnaces.

ZIZI specializes in Inconel 600 pipes and has many years of experience manufacturing UNS N06600 pipes. We offer high quality, low cost, and excellent service. As a result, our Inconel 600 pipes are exported to numerous countries, including Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, Chile, Peru, Venezuela, Australia, Nigeria, Angola, Senegal, Mozambique, Azerbaijan, the Netherlands, Brazil, Norway, the United Kingdom, Mexico, and Canada.

What is an Inconel pipe?

Inconel pipes are high-performance metal tubes made of Inconel alloys, whose main components are nickel, chromium and iron, with excellent high temperature, corrosion and oxidation resistance. These pipes are widely used in extreme environments such as aerospace, nuclear power, chemical industry, marine engineering and high temperature gas processing equipment, and are able to work stably for long periods of time under high temperatures, high pressures and strong corrosive media.

Inconel 600 Process Performance and Requirements

Inconel 600 Forming Performance The alloy exhibits excellent hot working properties. The forging heating temperature for ingots is 1110–1140°C; the final forging temperature must not be less than 950°C. The rolling heating temperature for slabs is 1130–1170°C, and the finishing rolling heating temperature is 1090–1130°C. The solution treatment temperature for finished products is 1010–1050°C.

Alloy 600 Welding Properties The alloy has good weldability and can be joined using various methods such as arc welding, TIG welding, resistance welding, and brazing. Large or complex welded structural components should be annealed at 870°C for 1 hour after fusion welding to eliminate welding stresses.

Alloy 600 pipe component heat treatment process The heat treatment process for components should be conducted in accordance with the heat treatment regimen specified in the corresponding material standards. Annealing treatment for thin plates and strip components should be performed in a protective atmosphere.
