What is ASTM A234 Standard

ASTM A234 standard covers wrought carbon steel and alloy steel fittings of seamless and welded construction covered by the latest revision of ASME B16.9, B16.11, MSS-SP-79, MSS-SP-83, MSS-SP-95, and MSS-SP-97. ASTM A234 carbon steel pipe fittings may be made from seamless pipes, welded pipes or plates by shaping operations of pressing, piercing, extruding, bending, fusion welding, machining, or by a combination of two or more these operations.

ASTM A234 WPB carbon steel butt weld fittings are medium carbon steel material with max 0.30 % carbon content with combination of 0.29–1.06 % manganese. The concentric pipe reducer is produced according to ASME B16.9 Standard, it covers overall dimensions, tolerances, ratings, testing, and markings for factory-made wrought buttwelding fittings in sizes NPS 1 ∕ 2 through NPS 48 (DN 15 through DN 1200). It covers fittings of any producible wall thickness.

How to Pack Carbon Steel Concentric Reducer

We do blasting and painting for carbon steel ASTM A234 WPB concentric reducer fittings against rust during the shipment. After the primer is dried, wrapping the plstick film on the body of reducing fittings. Finally line them into wooden case accordingly.
