This is a low alloy steel with alloys less than 5%. Due to the chemical composition, people also call it as chrome moly alloy.
F91 Couplings have highly strength to withstand high pressure. The low carbon content makes socket weld flanges easy to weld. 90 degree Elbows in chrome moly alloy are not easily deformed, and their great yield strength allows them to recover from deformation after processing. Equivalent Grades for Cr-Mo Alloy F91
As we know, alloy steel A182 F91 is material of forged steel fittings. What’s the equivalent grade for Butt Weld Fittings? It is ASTM A234 WP91. They have same chemical compositions and mechanical properties. So as UNS K90901 and WNR.1.4903
