Threadolet VS Weldolet

When you use a weldolet,  you need to weld a pipe or fitting directly to the branch fitting, and a threadolet, you should screw the connecting pipe or fitting (e.g. valve) to the branch connection.

Threadolet Thread Standards Explained: BSP vs NPT

When selecting a Threadolet, choosing the correct thread standard is crucial for ensuring a perfect fit and leak-free connection. The two most common thread types are BSP and NPT — but what’s the difference?

BSP (British Standard Pipe)

Used mainly in Europe, Asia, and the UK

Thread angle: 55°

Comes in BSPP (parallel) and BSPT (tapered) types

Tighter fit achieved with sealing rings or washers

NPT (National Pipe Thread)

Commonly used in North America

Thread angle: 60°

Always tapered, creating a mechanical seal when tightened

Requires thread sealant or Teflon tape

In Threadolet fittings, selecting the right thread type ensures compatibility with your piping system — preventing leaks, cross-threading, or installation issues.

2 NPT Threadolet

Package

We marked all carbon steel forged fittings with Grade, Lot No, Size, Standard and Pressure Ratings. The workers will sleeve 2 inch NPT Threadolet into plastic bag individually, put them in cartons and wooden cases, finally bundled wooden cases with nylon rope.

Clear labels are tagged on the outside of the package for easy identification of the quantity and product I.D. great care is taken during operation and transportation.

Inspection

1. Visual the surface of Threaded Outlet Fittings. Such as dents, die marks, porosity, undercuts.
2. Check the marking. Such as size, material code, grade, thickness, heat No.
3. Measure the dimensions. Such as run threadolet dimension, branch dimension, wall thickness.
