Threaded Union 2" BSPP ASTM A182 F91 MSS SP 83

SKU: SH157 Category:
General Details

Steel Union Fitting

Steel union fitting can be divided into socket weld and screw type, according to the thread type, there are normally NPT union and BSP union.

We stock abundant of BSP pipe fittings for our Southeast Asia market, they are mostly 90 degree elbow, threaded coupling, cap, bushing, equal tee and cross. All of them are mostly in material of carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel.

BSP Union Dimensions

Usually we manufacture the Class 3000 threaded union according to MSS SP-83. The size is available in 1/8″, 1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, 3/4″, 1″, 1 1/4″, 1 1/2″, 2″, 2 1/2″ and 3″.

What is BSP Thread?

There are two types of threads as following:

Parallel (straight) threads, British Standard Pipe Parallel thread (BSPP; originally also known as British Standard Pipe Fitting thread/BSPF and British Standard Pipe Mechanical thread/BSPM), which have a constant diameter; denoted by the letter G.

Taper threads, British Standard Pipe Taper thread (BSPT), whose diameter increases or decreases along the length of the thread; denoted by the letter R.

How do you Identify BSP and NPT Pipe Fittings?

UN/UNF and BSPP pipe fittings have parallel threads, and NPT/NPTF and BSPT fittings have tapered threads. Usually it is hard to identify by looking, mostly we use the Go/no go Gauge tool whatever in factory or end user’s hand. As a responsible manufacturer and supplier of BSP Threaded Fittings, we inspect Union one by one and take a video for customer’s reference. Make a good quality and provide right product are our keyword.
